Strictly Come Dancing star Adam Peaty has split from his girlfriend weeks just weeks before the new series starts.
The Olympic swimmer, 27, shares a child with Eiri Munro, 24, who he was in a relationship with for two years.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Adam apologised to his baby mama and little George, 23 months, for 'letting them down' as he revealed the couple were no longer together.
Adam and Eiri, short for Eirianedd, first met while they were studying at Loughborough University, where he trained as a swimmer while she was studying for a BA in Fine Art.
Eiri boasts Welsh and Nigerian heritage, with her Instagram page stating: "The name's Welsh, the melanin's Nigerian".
She officially hooked up with Adam on online dating app Tinder before they were first pictured together on New Year's Eve 2019, where the Welsh beauty posted a picture on Instagram.
Eiri captioned the picture with three ice cube emojis, and was later asked who the "mystery man" was.
When one person commented saying: “OMG you met Adam Peaty?!? What’s he like? Did you get an autograph,?” she responded: “I honestly had no clue who he was.”
The Olympic athlete cheekily replied saying it was "aways great to meet fans", before Eiri gushed: "I'm ur number 1 fan x."
A month later the artists publicly said she was a "very lucky girl", and even commented "love ya xxx" in a response to Adam posting a heart emoji.
During the first coronavirus lockdown, Eiri reckoned Adam was "the best quarantine buddy a girl could ask for".
Then, after just two months of dating she discovered she was pregnant, with the couple announcing the pregnancy news on social media in April 2020.
Adam later revealed to The Times that it "wasn't planned", and that Eiri had called him to tell him the news when he was in Australia.
He explained: "I got the call in Australia, with her crying. I was like, ‘Ok, this is going to change my life forever.'"
The pair welcomed their son George-Anderson Adetola Peaty in September 2020.
At the time, Eiri wrote: “Everything I’ve ever wanted is now in my arms.”
However, two years later it looks like the bubble has burst with some fans speculating whether the Strictly curse has struck again.
Adam and professional dancer Katya sent the rumour mill into overdrive with their sizzling chemistry when they were partnered on the show last year.
Just weeks into the competition viewers were left shocked when the swimmer appeared to "try to kiss" Katya after their steamy Argentine Tango
Eiri later shared her shock reaction to the near kiss with a TikTok video of her pretending to cry with the caption: "watching your boyfriend almost kiss another woman live on TV..."
