Strictly pro Jowita hopes to 'pull off transformation' by showing Hamza 'tough love'

Strictly Come Dancing 's Jowita Przystal may decide to use some "tough love" when training her celebrity partner Hamza Yassin, according to a body language expert.

The professional dancer, 28, and the wildlife cameraman, 32, have been paired up for the latest series of the BBC dance competition - which launched on Friday evening.

They were shown finding out about the partnership in a lighthouse on the Ardnamurchan peninsula in Scotland, which is where TV presenter Hamza currently lives.

Their first interaction has now been analysed by body language expert Judi James, who has exclusively shared her thoughts with the Mirror following this year's launch.

Judi exclusively told us: "Jowita's greeting display on meeting Hamza, who said he was already puffed climbing the stairs, was more like a little dance of frustration than delight."

"She threw her head forward to cover her face and bent double as her hands curled into fists and her feet pounded the floor," the body language expert further commented.

Jowita had said upon discovering that Hamza would be her partner for the competition: "Now I'm perfect, finally I know it's you". Hamza said he felt "over the moon" by the pairing.

And after Hamza said that he had been "huffing and puffing" coming up the stairs of the lighthouse, Jowita said it was like a warm-up - before getting her partner to do a high five.

Judi told us: "The high five looked a bit harsh and, with Hamza revealing some good dance moves later but having no previous experience, Jowita might just decide to push him through a tough-love regime in the hope she can pull off a transformation."

The dancer - who's in her second year on Strictly - told Hamza after meeting him: "If you can give me your time and your patience, I'll be there with you all the time. And we'll be fine".

Jowita competed as a contestant herself, alongside partner Michael Danilczuk, on The Greatest Dancer in 2020. They won the BBC show after being mentored by Oti Mabuse.

She joined the cast of Strictly as a professional last year but wasn't given a celebrity partner in that series. She however was paired up with Adrian Chiles for the Christmas special.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday (September 24) with its first live show at 6.45pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. You can catch up on this year's launch now.
