Strictly Come Dancing viewers taken aback by Gorka Marquez's reaction as winner announced

Strictly Come Dancing viewers were taken aback as they spotted Gorka Marquez's reaction to this season's winner.

The dancer competed in Saturday's grand final alongside Helen Skelton. The pair wowed judges with three thrilling performances to cap off their Strictly adventure.

They received a perfect 40 in their last dance of the evening, which prompted Helen to issue an emotional tribute to her partner. She said: "I get lots of credit. You, my friend, have been in three finals for a reason. You are a credit to this show. You help everybody. Everyone in the final had tips from you."

However, Helen and Gorka fell just short as they lost out in the public vote to Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystał. It is the third time Gorka has appeared in the final and not won the Glitterball.

Viewers following the show on Twitter said the dancer looked "livid" as his bid to win the Glitterball continues.

Jodie said: "Gorka cannot hide his disappointment at ALL"

Beth posted: "Think Gorka might be a bit livid looking at his facial expressions"

Crys commented: "Aw Gorka He looks so disappointed"

Sylvia posted: "Delighted but also wanna cuddle Gorka"

Katy tweeted: "Gorka is fuming and rightly so! Helen has won in so many ways. Good on her and she is my winner!"

Char added: "Gorka is not happy here is he bless him"
