Saturday's unusual Strictly Come Dancing results show concluded with a bit of news that fans were not hoping for, that next week's shows would, once again, be delayed because of the FIFA World Cup. Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced the devastating blow that next week's semi final and results show would now be airing on Sunday and Monday of the following week.
Following the announcement, viewers were quick to hit back at the news on social media. You can read more about that here.
However, long-time Strictly fan, The Reverend Kate Bottley, made a different observation. Manchester Evening News reports how the former Gogglebox star wrote on Twitter: "Just had a lovely thought that the remaining @bbcstrictly celebrities, @ClaudiaWinkle @TessDaly, crew and @SCDband might actually be having a Saturday night off and be sat at home on their own sofas."

And the Strictly Come Dancing Band, the show's house band led by Dave Arch, replied: "We are rev. It’s a bit odd but nice. All family round and there’s talk of setting the tree up hope you’re well x"
Singer Tommy Blaize also confirmed her hopes. "Oh yes Kate, I am on the sofa enjoying the footy. Feels odd though," he said. And @gsjuptonpark68 told her: "Saw a few of the dancers out and about in Soho, London last night, so not sat at home but enjoying themselves."
Some of Kate's followers, meanwhile, were concerned that The Reverend had lifted the lid on the fact that Strictly's results show is actually filmed on a Saturday evening. One person cheekily joked: "Is the results show not live then?!" And a second agreed, writing: "But Kate, don't you know the result show was filmed live on Saturday night?" It has long been the worst held secret in showbiz that the results show is not filmed live.
The remaining five Strictly couples will take to the dancefloor for the semi final when Strictly Come Dancing will air live on Sunday, December 10 at 7.15pm, with the results show on Monday, December 11 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
