Strictly Come Dancing stars have reunited for former professional dancer Janette Manrara's baby shower. The stars, including Katya Jones, Sara Davies and Ashley Roberts, surprised Janette with an "incredible surprise".
In February 2023 Janette announced that she and her husband Aljaz Skorjanec, who was also a Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer, are expecting their first baby. And to celebrate, professional dancer Katya Jones and former Strictly contestant Ashley Roberts threw the mum-to-be a surprise baby shower.
Joining the Strictly stars at the baby shower was former contestant and current Dragon on Dragons' Den Sara Davies, who shared the "incredible" surprise Janette had at the get together. In a clip posted to her Instagram profile, Sara showed how Janette was watching a video message from her mum when her mum walked into the room, to the total shock of Janette. The dancer screamed and began crying when her mum came into the room.
Sara captioned the post: "Awwww that moment at @jmanrara baby shower where she was watching her mom on the screen then she looks up and she walks through the door.... it was just incredible! Wanted to share that and some of the moments from the shower - huge thank you to @katyajones and @iamashely for organising such a wonderful afternoon and to everyone who contributed to make it so special!"
Janette stepped down from Strictly Come Dancing in 2021 to try for a baby and in 2022 she joined the Strictly Come Dancing spin-off show It Takes Two as a co-host. The star told Hello! magazine they had been planning to try IVF, after two years of Janette trying to become pregnant, just before she had a positive test.
