Strictly Come Dancing star Jayde Adams put Bristol in the spotlight last night (Friday) when she appeared on the launch show of the new series.
During last night’s show, the first of the new series, the Bedminster comedian and actor was paired with professional dancer Karen Hauer, as one of two same-sex couples taking part this year.
When it came to Jayde’s turn to have her partner revealed, viewers were transported to the Clifton Observatory roof where Karen was unveiled. But in the build-up to this moment there were also shots of Jayde walking down East Street and North Street in Bedminster.

And it turns out it was really important that the reveal video was filmed in Jayde’s home city, as it combined her two great loves.
Speaking on last night’s show she said: "If you cut me in half, it would read 'Bristol' on one side and 'Strictly' on the other running right through. Is this real? Is this happening?
"Every single thing I have ever achieved in my career has been me gearing up to be on Strictly Come Dancing, this means everything," she told viewers.
The launch show was due to take place last Saturday, but was moved to Friday night because of the death of the Queen. The pre-recorded show went out 24 hours before the first full programme, which airs tonight (Saturday, September 24), which will see Jayde line up against other top celebrities dancing for the first time.
Jayde is no dance novice - she spent much of her childhood at her aunt's freestyle disco dance club, and danced with her sister Jenna, who tragically passed away in April 2011, aged just 28 and had been studying contemporary dance at university.
