A deflated Will Mellor apologised to his daughters at home as he appeared disappointed after opening the second Strictly Come Dancing live show on BBC One. In Saturday's opener, a salsa with partner Nancy Xu, the actor said his "mind went blank" on the dancefloor as the judges picked him up on technicalities.
In the interview with Claudia Winkleman after the judge's verdicts, Will looked gutted as he apologised to his daughters who were having a Strictly watching party back home. Will said: "Yeh, Rene and Autumn, sorry it wasn't great for you, I tried my best."
Strictly’s live audience were then heard cheering as Claudia said loudly: “We will not have that.”

Will and Nancy scored 26 points, not a bad score for episode two, but last week he topped the leader board, alongside presenter Hamza Yassin, with a score of 34.
Shirley Ballas told Will that he was "very easy on the eye" but that there were a few mistakes in his salsa routine to Luther Vandross' Never Too Much.
The results show will air on BBC One, Sunday evening, October 2 at 7.15pm.
