Strictly Come Dancing's Tyler West 'cuts short' training as Dianne Buswell encounters 'flatulence'

Strictly star Tyler West has joked he was forced to 'cut short' training with Dianne Buswell after she encountered a ‘flatulence’ problem in the training room. Kiss FM DJ Tyler and Australian pro Dianne will be trying to maintain their streak of 10-point scores when they take on a Strictly first.

The remaining 12 couples in the BBC One dance contest will be celebrating the broadcaster's centenary by dancing to an iconic BBC theme tune or dance in tribute to one of the BBC’s most loved services. Tyler and Dianne will be hoping to impress with their tango to the Doctor Who theme tune by Segun Akinola. But it appears they hit a stumbling block in rehearsals.

Tyler took to Instagram with a video of him being put through his paces by his dance partner as they prepared for Saturday night's show. However, as he flung Dianne to one side before pulling her back up, a fake sound of flatulence played out with the professional dancer instantly pulling a guilty face.

Tyler was then seen pushing a suitcase towards Dianne who then appeared with her bags packed before walking out the door. "Unfortunately rehearsals had to be cut short today," Tyler captioned the comical post which was quickly being flooded with comments from their Strictly co-stars as the comments section became flurried with crying laughing emojis from the likes of Gorka Marquez, Nancy Xu, and Ellie Simmonds. Vito Coppola also commented: "OMG I'm dying."

Tyler's hilarious post comes after he jetted to and from Mauritius where he stayed on the island for a matter of hours to attend his brother's wedding. He previously revealed that he'd be taking the trip, which includes a 12 hour flight to and from the UK, as he just couldn’t miss seeing his big brother Lewis tie the knot with fiancée Yasmin.

The Strictly star admitted he was an “emotional wreck” when he landed back in London from the wedding on Thursday (October 20), just two days before being due to perform live on the popular show. He told the Daily Mail he landed at 7.30am and headed straight to training.

He shared how he trained with Dianne all day Tuesday, went straight to the airport, arrived in Mauritius the following morning and headed straight to the hotel where Lewis was getting married. He admitted that after being “held up at the airport for two hours” he “just got there in time” to get ready with the rest of the groomsmen.

“My brother and I are so close, so I was never going to miss that moment where he said I do," he said. "He was so overwhelmed I was able to be there.”

But Tyler revealed saying goodbye to his family was tough as he had to miss the reception - including the speeches and first dance. However, he did record his speech and it was later played out to his brother, new sister-in-law and their wedding guests.

"I watched the ceremony, he said his vows and ‘I do’, and it was emotional," Tyler told the publication. "But as the sun was going down and everyone was having their photos taken, I had to say my goodbyes and I went straight back to the airport."

Sharing a string of images from the special day on Instagram, Tyler wrote: "Mr & Mrs West. The best day. Proudest brother."
