Pete Wicks had to battle through flooded roads on the way to Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals as London was hit with a 12-hour thunderstorm warning.
The yellow weather alert, which affects much of southern England, including London, took effect at 10am on Tuesday and lasts until 10pm.
The Met Office warned that showers and thunderstorms would move in from the south-west and develop over land throughout the day.
Former TOWIE star Wicks, 36, shared a video on his Instagram Story revealing himself to be stuck in a huge flood on a north London road as he tried to reach the BBC studios.
The clip captured his car navigating through water that reached window-height by a Tesco while he attempted to join a flooded road amid the weather chaos.
Adding a touch of humour, Wicks played the Robin Schulz remix of Mr Probz’s song Waves in the background and captioned the post, “Should have got a boat to the studio today,” along with a boat emoji.
The reality TV star is currently trying to impress viewers and judges with his moves on the current series of Strictly Come Dancing alongside his pro partner Jowita Przystal.
Over the weekend, the pair performed the samba to the George Of The Jungle theme, scoring 26, which placed them third from the bottom of the leaderboard.
While some areas will miss the downpours on Tuesday, 20-30mm of rain is forecast to fall within 2-3 hours, with a small chance that a few places could receive 40-50mm over a longer period - especially across the south-east on Tuesday evening.
Hail and lightning will be additional hazards with gusts of up to 40mph expected.
It comes after thundery showers on Monday brought big downpours in some places, surface water on the roads and lightning and hail as an extra hazard.
Weather warnings are possible until mid-week as rain falls on already wet ground, according to the Met Office.
Met Office meteorologist Alex Deakin, in an online forecast, said a bright start could be expected for some on Tuesday but heavy showers are expected over Wales and southern England.
He said: “There is an area of low pressure just generating the showers and pushing northwards.
“Also there is this band of thick cloud sitting over northern England, Northern Ireland and southern Scotland for much of the day with outbreaks of rain.
“Northern England should brighten up but then showers will move in here too.
“Not quite as damp over northern Scotland as it has been through Monday but still staying pretty grey here with those winds coming down from the north, that is going to bring a chill.”
