Strictly Come Dancing's Kaye Adams shares first look at stars dressed to the nines

This years Strictly Come Dancing first look photos have been revealed as the contestants are dressed to the nines in their glittery get-ups.

The Strictly launch show had been delayed by one week following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, with her funeral taking place on Monday 19 September. The launch show will now air on September 23, followed by the first live show on September 24.

The stars looked raring to go in a stunning group shot as they prepare to battle it out for the coveted Glitterball trophy - with Helen Skelton, Kym Marsh, Fleur East and Ellie Taylor in colourful patterned mini dresses with tassel details. Kaye Adams and Molly Rainford looked elegant in satin blue gowns which featured a daring thigh-high split while beaming for the snaps.

Meanwhile Tyler West, Hamza Yassin, Will Mellor, Matt Goss and Tony Adams all looked dapper in bold, colourful suits. Richie Anderson and James Bye dressed to impress in sheer pink and purple dance costumes while posing for their promo shots.

Taking to social media to share the stunning promo shots, Kaye shared her love for her fellow contestants. Writing on Instagram, Kaye said: "The @bbcstrictly Class of 2022 School Photo... best looking school photo I've ever had taken and already in love with all of my class mates. Less than a week till the Launch Show. Will you be watching?"

Loose Women panellist Kaye, 59, will be hitting the dancefloor in September and admitted that she's "absolutely terrified" (BBC)

The 59-year-old broadcaster has been met with words of encouragement from her fellow Loose Women panellists. Coleen Nolan commented: "Wow you look gorgeous.." while Judi Love penned: "Gorgeous," alongside two heart eye emojis.

This year, Strictly will mark the BBC’s centenary with a special themed week, alongside returning favourites such as Movie Week, Halloween Week and the much-loved Musicals Week. This year's Strictly judges are Anton du Beke, Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Craig Revel Horwood.

Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One on 23 September.
