Strictly Come Dancing's HRVY left devastated as he shares heartbreaking family death

Strictly Come Dancing star HRVY has shared his heartbreak after his grandad passed away.

The singer, whose real name is Harvey Leigh Cantwell, 24, said that he would "see his grandad soon" after breaking the news.

The former CBBC star shared the Order of Service from his grandad's funeral and wrote: "Love you, grandad," with a black heart beside it.

Leslie, his grandad smiled in the photo which had his date of birth and death beneath.

On another Instagram story, he shared a photo of the back of the Order of Service, which was a cartoon of Winnie The Pooh and Piglet.

Under the drawing was a quote from the book's author A. A. Milne.

It read: "How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard."

HRVY was partnered up with Janette Manrara on Strictly in 2020.

He nearly made it all the way to the end but lost out to Bill Bailey and Oti Mabuse.

There were rumours that he and former EastEnders star Maisie Smith were more than friends, but later he admitted to the Daily Star that he played up to the gossip for fun.

The singer enjoyed a host of outdoor activities including archery and mountain biking - and he enjoyed winding down in a hot tub.

He's gearing up to play at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire where he will be supported by Peter Andre's son Junior.

"it’s been a long time since my own show, ready to see you guys again get ya tickets now!!" HRVY wrote in the caption.

"So excited," one fan wrote.

"CANNOT WAIT," added another, while a third commented: "I’m coming @hrvy and I can’t wait to see you again."
