Strictly Come Dancing's Hamza Yassin pays tribute to 'darling' Jowita as they make final

Strictly Come Dancing star Hamza Yassin paid tribute to dance partner Jowita Przystal with a heartfelt message as the pair sailed through the Strictly Come Dancing semi-finals.

The wildlife photographer, who lives in Ardnamurchan, shimmied his way into this weekend's final with Jowita, meaning he'll be facing up to Fleur East, Helen Skelton and Molly Rainford in a bid to take the crown.

On last night's Strictly results show, which was rescheduled from Sunday due to the World Cup, fans sent Hamza and Jowita through to the finals along with Molly Rainford as the public voting secured their place.

Afterwards, an emotional Hamza paid tribute to Jowita on Instagram, saying: "fantastic journey darling".

Hamza had sent fans wild on Saturday night with a performance inspired by Scotland.

The 32-year-old, who moved to the West Highlands when he was 21, took to the Strictly stage sporting a kilt - much to the delight of fans.

And his performance had another key Scots link as he danced the Charleston to Pencil Full of Lead by Paolo Nutini.

And it seems that the fond feelings are mutual between the dancers, as Jowita had some kind words to say back to her partner.

Taking to Instagram after Monday night's results show, Jowita posted four snaps of them together, saying: " This is it… you did it partner! We did it!

"We are in the final of @bbcstrictly and I couldn’t be more proud of you @hamzayassin90 beyond thankful for all your votes and support now it’s time to go there and celebrate our journey x I had the best time, let’s make the most of it x"

On the Strictly results show, while speaking to host Claudia Winkleman, Hamza was overcome with emotion, saying: "It is a whirlwind of a journey.

"Never, ever, ever did I ever think I would be in the final. Week one, I just thought go out there and have fun.

"Week two is when people get voted off - I was getting ready to hear my name. It has been such a journey. An incredible journey. A phenomenal journey."

Turning to his pro partner, he said: "Jowita, you have been my mast throughout this journey.

"Showing me where to go, keeping me together, I have had such a wonderful time and I can't thank you enough. I promise you, you are amazing."

Strictly Come Dancing: The Final will air live on Saturday at 7.15pm, on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
