The dancer was virtually unrecognisable as she tagged her hairdresser, saying: "I'm getting ideas."

Fans were relived to discover, when she posted another image of her with red hair, that the new look was just a wig. Alongside the second selfie, she posted: "But then there's the red".

The performer recently revealed she wanted to branch out from dancing and try her hand at something new.

It was reported in February that Dianne was following in the footsteps of Strictly stars Johannes and Katya Jones by signing up to BBC cookery show Celebrity MasterChef.

However, speaking to Heat magazine, the dancer also said she wants to establish herself as an actress this year. Dianne explained: "I'm taking it quite seriously. I've always been a little performer, and there's no time like the present."

The star has been vying for the Glitterball trophy on Strictly since 2017.

When asked if the show will still be part of her future, she said: "Absolutely. Acting is just a little side project, really, so who knows where it will take me?"
