Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood is the first big name to be announced for this year’s Bristol Hippodrome pantomime.
The Australian-born choreographer and director will star as The Wicked Stepmother in Cinderella.
A judge on all 19 series of Strictly Come Dancing, Craig has also appeared in many West End musicals including Miss Saigon and Crazy For You.

He also starred as Miss Hannigan in Annie, which opened in the West End and then toured around the UK twice, including at Bristol Hippodrome in 2015.
Before Cinderella, Craig is touring the UK in his new one man show, All Balls and Glitter.
His return to Bristol for Cinderella in December will be particularly welcomed by fans who were disappointed when Robin Hood was cancelled at the Hippodrome due to Covid restrictions in December 2020.
Craig was to play the Sheriff of Nottingham in the show, which was also due to feature iconic puppet Sooty.

Craig recently played the role of The Wicked Stepmother at Southampton’s Mayflower theatre production of Cinderella along with Debbie McGee as The Fairy Godmother and Richard Cadell & Sooty. It is not known who will star alongside him in Bristol.
The Hippodrome’s Director, Ben Phillips says: “I am thrilled that the classic and well-loved tale, Cinderella will be our 2022 pantomime.
“I am confident there will be something for everyone to enjoy and our audiences will be delighted and dazzled next year by this festive treat.”
Cinderella is at the Bristol Hippodrome from December 2-31 and tickets are now on sale here.
