Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left shocked and upset as Richie Anderson and Fleur East landed in the bottom two this week, with Richie eventually getting the boot. But, just like last week, Shirley Ballas voted the opposite way to her fellow judges, saying she would have saved the Radio 2 star.
Strictly went to the Movies on Saturday night for a live show that featured performances inspired by everything from Jurassic Park to Dirty Dancing and Grease to The Full Monty. At the end of the night, it was radio host Tyler West at the top of the standings, after getting the first 10s of the series. At the other end of the leaderboard, Tony Adams was bottom with a score of just 21 out of 40.
Who lands in the dreaded dance off each week is based on a combination of the judges' scores and viewer votes and unfortunately for them, finishing middle of the pack after the marks were awarded wasn't enough to keep Richie and pro partner Giovanni Pernice and Fleur and her professional Vito Coppola out of danger. Fleur and Vito were the first couple to be told they'd have to dance again, with judge Craig Revel-Horwood telling the former X Factor finalist he was shocked by the result.

Richie and Giovanni were near the top of the leaderboard last week after their fantastic Quickstep but in a sad reversal of fortunes, they had to battle to stay in the competition just a week later, with them then losing out after both couples danced again. In a repeat of how things went at the end of last week's result show, after Craig, Motsi and Anton all voted to keep Fleur, head judge Shirley told Tess Daly she'd have saved Richie.
As well as the judges looking taken aback by the identity of the couples in the Dance Off, plenty of fans at home were gutted by how things unfolded.
Taking to Twitter, one posted: "Richie and Fleur!?! Really!?! Is this for real!? fuming!" A second tweeted: "HOW ARE FLEUR AND RICHIE IN THE DANCE OFF THIS IS BULLS**T." Echoing the same sentiments, a third reacted: "Richie and Fleur shouldn’t be in the dance off at all, fuming."
