Strictly Come Dancing professional confirms he's quit the show after full line-up announced

Strictly Come Dancing professional Cameron Lombard is leaving the popular BBC One series after two years. Confirmation of his exit comes after bosses announced the Strictly professional line-up for 2023, which didn't list Cameron as a returning dancer.

Announcing the news on Instagram, Cameron told his followers: "The last two years have been a blast. Thank you @bbcstrictly for the life changing opportunity and for the best experience any one could wish for.

"Will forever be grateful and I’ve loved every minute, danced on the worlds biggest stages, met the worlds best fans, performed for thousands of people as well as millions watching around the world and have made friends for life that I'll cherish forever.

"I can't wait to share with you some exciting future projects and plans. See you in the movies."

Many of Cameron's Strictly co-stars responding in the comments section, with Caerphilly-born Amy Dowden, who will be returning this year, sharing a string of love heart emojis. Meanwhile, Aljaž Škorjanec said: "All the LOVE my friend."

And Motsi Mabuse added: "All the best dear!!! You know where to call." Motsi will be returning to the judging panel alongside Craig Revel-Horwood, Anton Du Beke and head judge Shirley Ballas, Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will return as presenters.

Onto the dancefloor itself and viewers can look forward to seeing some of the most talented Latin and Ballroom professional dancers from all across the globe as Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Graziano Di Prima, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Giovanni Pernice, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola all take to the floor once more, promising viewers an abundance of spectacular routines.

Whilst the Presenters, Judges and Professional Dancers have now been officially confirmed, the Class of 2023 won’t be revealed until later this year, when they are dipped in glitter and made ready to start dancing.

Executive Producer, BBC Studios, Sarah James, said: "Excitement is already building for the 21st series of Strictly and we are so lucky to have the best team in the business both on and off camera. Our amazing presenters, incredible panel of judges and world class professional dancers are ready to bring the sparkle back to your screens this Autumn. We can't wait!"
