Strictly Come Dancing: Jayde Adams shows off 'posh' BBC merch as Bristol comedian is 'Strictlyfied'

Bristolian comedian Jayde Adams has shared her first taste of being 'Strictlyfied' with her fans. Earlier this month, it was announced that Jayde, from South Bristol, is set to appear on the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing - a dream come true for the 37-year-old.

Sharing a snap of a burgundy water flask with 'Strictly Come Dancing' emblazoned onto it in silver detailing, Jayde flashed the official BBC merchandise, which bore a sticker reading 'JAYDE'. She captioned the picture: "Behind this bottle is a woman who has fulfilled a lifelong ambition of being 'strictlyfied'.

"Wait until you see our pictures we're all having done! BUT if you're coming to the show tonight, I've kept the hair and make up on..."

The Outlaws star then added: "Don't want to swear or blow my own horn, but I look bloody gorgeous."

A number of Jayde's supportive fans chipped in to wish her well ahead of her Strictly Come Dancing journey, with many sharing their excitement. Ellie Simmonds, who will also be appearing on the 2022 edition of Strictly Come Dancing, wrote: "The bottle!!! Yessss!! Whooooo!"

Comedian Chris Ramsey, who danced his way to the semi-finals of Strictly in 2019, said: "Bloody posh water bottles?! In my day they gave us a handful of gravel!"

Jayde has her own 'Strictly family' this year, with the star being one of three contestants to have the last name 'Adams'. Also waltzing across the dance floor this autumn will be Loose Women panellist Kaye Adams, and football manager Tony Adams.

It is not yet known which professional dancer Jayde will be paired up with, as that is a secret kept until Strictly's launch show, which is set to air on Saturday, September 17 on BBC One. The live shows will begin a week later on Saturday, September 24.
