Strictly Come Dancing heading to Glasgow with live tour at OVO Hydro

Glasgow is set to welcome Strictly Come Dancing after it was confirmed the live tour is to make a return to the city.

Taking to social media to announce the news, the OVO Hydro announced the popular BBC dancing show will back in February next year.

Alongside pro-dancers and a cast of celebrities, Glaswegians will be able to see judges Anton Du Beke, Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel Horwood, who will be joined by host Janette Manrara.

It comes as the city bids to host Eurovision 2023, with Liverpool also in the final and a decision expected in just weeks.

Tickets, according to the venue's website, range from £40.95 to £109.05. Discussing the event, they said: "Fun, fabulous and pure entertainment – the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour is hitting the road in January and February! Now you have the chance to experience everything you love about the multi-award-winning TV series – live.

"Anton Du Beke will join fellow TV judges Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel Horwood as they tour to arenas around the UK for 30 supersised sparkle-filled shows. The host with the most, Janette Manrara has her cue cards at the ready to guide audiences through a feast of breathtaking dance routines and incredible live music, performed by a cast of celebrities and their professional dance partners, together with the Strictly Live Band.

"The magnificent dance floor will dazzle with the exquisite costumes and first class production values which Strictly is known and loved for, giving fans of all ages the perfect opportunity to extend that special Strictly magic into the new year. And if that is not enough, the live show audience can play judge at each performance as their text votes ultimately decides who wins the coveted Glitterball Trophy.

"Feel-great entertainment to start 2023 on the right foot."

  • February 12 2023

Tickets are officially on sale this Friday (September 30) with their pre-sale now live as of today (September 28) at 9am. Tickets can be purchased here through the venue's own website.
