Strictly Come Dancing fans 'call' show's winner, and it's not Helen Skelton

Strictly Come Dancing fans think they already know this year's winner after the show's launch on BBC One last week.

The show's stars gave a glimpse of their dancing skills and showed off their professional dance partners as they took to the ballroom for the first time. As the celebrities performed with the pro dancers in a group number at the end of the show, viewers were quick to judge their abilities and decided who would do well, and who would not, the Mirror reports.

Despite Countryfile and former Blue Peter host Helen Skelton being favourite among bookmakers to take home the Glitterball trophy this year, fans don't think this will be the case.

Instead they believe singer and former I'm a Celebrity star Fleur East will triumph with her dance partner, Vito Coppola, and be crowned winner of Strictly Come Dancing in December. One viewer tweeted: "Fleur is going to win," as another said: "I think Fleur will win."

A third tweeted: "Well based off that group dance. Fleur East wins #Strictly 2022. Kym Marsh in the semi-finals at least."

Another agreed: "Fleur East is going to win this DID YOU SEE THAT?"

A fifth fan commented: "I'm going to call it super early this year… Fleur and Vito for the win."

Speaking during the show, Fleur performed a rap for her pro dance partner and shared her excitement about being on the show. Meanwhile, Vito said: "Behind this smile I'm very tough but I’m sure that she's going to be alright because she's a hard worker too!"
