Strictly Come Dancing: Chris Ramsey jokes Craig Revel Horwood ‘hates’ him after judge awards him just four points

Strictly Come Dancing hopeful Chris Ramsey seemed to see the funny side of Craig Revel Horwood's negative feedback as he joked that the judge had taken a personal dislike to him.

Though the comedian and his partner Karen Hauer received positive feedback from Revel Horwood for their first routine during Saturday night's live show, the judge was less than complimentary about their second dance, a rumba to Jorja Smith's Don't Watch Me Cry.

When asked for his feedback, Revel Horwood responded curtly with "Wrong dance, wrong day, I'm afraid. Not good."

He later scored the pair a lowly four, while the other three judges all awarded Ramsey and Hauer scores of eight.

Motsi Mabuse praised "the sensitivity [...] the vulnerability" of their routine, while Shirley Ballas said that she had "enjoyed" the performance "in a different way, not a technical way."

After the judges shared their feedback, Ramsey joked that Revel Horwood had been "unwell" when he had responded positively to the comic's dancing earlier in the show.

"Told you Craig hated me!" he laughed, adding: "He was unwell earlier on, he's had a drink, he's sorted himself out, he's remembered he hates me."

He also revealed he "actually cried" at the end of the routine, after getting fully into character, and became emotional once again when Hauer suggested that his young son Robin would be "very proud" of him.

Ramsey and Hauer currently have a cumulative score of 54 and are sitting at the bottom of the Strictly leaderboard.

It was also an emotional week for Ramsey's fellow contestant Kelvin Fletcher, who looked tearful when he received a perfect score of 40 from the judges for the very first time.

The Emmerdale star became the second contestant to receive a 'full house' on Saturday night, after Karim Zeroual and Amy Dowden were awarded the first 40 of the series last week.

The Strictly Come Dancing results show will air on December 8 at 7.20pm on BBC One.
