Strictly bosses warned of Helen Skelton's 'wild' side by her co-presenter

Strictly Come Dancing bosses have been warned to have censors on standby as one of their big-name signings could give them some major headaches on air.

According to Martin Hughes-Games, blonde beauty Helen Skelton needed to have a special editor on the set of the Summer On The Farm show as she can say "naughty things" - and he has told Strictly to prepare for the same.

The 39-year-old TV presenter was named as the final contestant for this year's dance competition with many fans already tipping her for the win. However, the show's top ranks could have bitten off more than they can chew if Martin is correct.

The pair hosted a week-long string of live shows on Channel 5 last month and the 66-year-old told The Sun : "Helen’s a bit dodgy to work with. She’s a safe pair of hands but has to be reined in a bit because she has a tendency to be a bit wild.

"We have someone from Channel 5 compliance, on set in South Yorkshire, who tells her that she mustn’t say too many naughty things. Although of course there’s always the chance that she might."

The news is something fans of Strictly will almost certainly love after several complaints over this year's line-up. Elsewhere, the likes of Will Mellor, Tony Adams and Fleur East will be aiming to showcase their dancing talents.

During Martin and Helen's time together on Cannon Farm earlier in the year, zoologist was known for poking fun at his co-star. In one instance, she made a cheeky joke about "tossing cheese," forcing Martin to warn her to "be professional".

Helen has admitted she "feels sick" when she hears the Strictly theme tune as she can't dance. She warned her fans not to expect epic dancing and confesses she "just wanted to wear nice dresses".

She said: "I work on farms. I watch cows give birth and stand in wellies." And she says when producers asked if she could dance, she was honest and said no but thought the point was to "go on it to learn to dance".

Her Strictly adventure comes months after her marriage broke down. The presenter split from Richie Myler after their eight-year marriage faltered. The pair share three kids together - Ernie, Louis and Elsie Kate.
