Dragons' Den and Strictly Come Dancing star Sara Davies is teaming up with First Dates favourite Fred Sirieix for a new TV show. The pair, alongside wedding industry expert Raj Somaiya, will be the judges and mentors for their new show Master of Ceremonies.
Crafting genius Sara, who took part in the 2021 series of Strictly Come Dancing, will be using her crafting knowledge, Fred using his hosting skills, and Raj his industry knowledge to help mentor eight wedding planners to design spectacular ceremonies for six couples. Throughout the competition, they will send home the weakest planner until just two remain in the final where the planners will face one final challenge to decide who will be crowned the winner.
Master of Ceremonies will air on BBC Two in 2023 with filming taking place in August 2022 in Glasgow. The series will also be filmed in other locations across the UK.
Speaking about the show Sara said: “Master of Ceremonies brings back that much-needed romance and joy we have missed over the last couple of years. I can’t wait to see what our planners conjure up to create our couples’ dream day. I’ll be putting the wedding planners through their paces and making sure they create the perfect finishing touches."
Fred added: “I am so excited to be a part of Master of Ceremonies. Our planners are going to have to bring their A game to deliver creative and beautiful, but also incredibly personal, ceremonies for our brilliant and deserving couples."
Outside the new show, Fred is enjoying the success of his daughter Andrea Spendolini-Siriex, who is a professional diver. In 2022 Andrea has won gold at the Commonwealth Games and European Aquatics Championship. You can read more about Andrea and Fred here.
