New Delhi: BJP Rajya Sabha MP Lahar Singh Siroya on Tuesday raised the issue of train sabotage and anti-national activities and empasized that the government must take urgent steps to address these concerns.
Mr Siroya said these deliberate acts endanger public safety and national security, revealing coordinated attempts to destabilize India’s vital railway network.

RS MP mentions recent train derailment attempts
Making a Special Mention in the Rajya Sabha, the BJP MP from Karnataka said the incidents such as the placement of nine iron rods on the Delhi-Bathinda Express track in Punjab and large cement blocks on the Ajmer-Ahmedabad route in Rajasthan have posed severe derailment risks. Near Kanpur, the Kalindi Express narrowly escaped disaster after explosives and an LPG cylinder caused an explosion on the tracks, the MP said.
Elaborating, the MP Lahar Singh said adding to these threats is the resurgence of Naxal activity in Karnataka, raising concerns over pardoned supporters leveraging their positions to spread divisive narratives.

The BJP MP urged the government to empower the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to investigate these incidents and enhance railway security. He said swift action is essential to protect lives and uphold national integrity.
