Community members have been power washing the streets of Kilmarnock and Cumnock.
East Ayrshire towns and villages have been spruced up thanks to dedicated members of the public and a number of selfless groups.
Darvel has also been high on the agenda for those getting their hands dirty to get the streets clean.
East Ayrshire Council's Greener Communities team joined forces with the local community, Vibrant Communities, Cleaner Communities, the Corporate Enforcement Unit and the Risk Management Centre’s mobile CCTV unit to clean up litter and tackle environmental crime including fly-tipping.
Each day the taskforce worked between 8am and 10am power washing the streets within Cumnock and Kilmarnock town centre.
They cleaned under bins and street furniture, removing cigarette ends and generally removing any grime and dirt from our streets. Additional street sweepers were drafted in to help with the deep clean, mechanically sweeping the pavements.
Green spaces also received some TLC with litter picks being carried out at Morton Park in Darvel and Howard Park in Kilmarnock.
George Gardner from Darvel was heavily involved in the cleaning process, he regularly works with local residents collecting litter within his community and he supported Greener Communities at their recent litter pick at Morton Park.
There are two more litter picks coming up over the Easter long weekend and Greener Communities are welcoming any volunteers on Saturday, April 16 between 9am and 11am at Kay Park in Kilmarnock and Woodroad Park in Cumnock.
Blair Millar, head of housing and communities said: “Working in partnership with our communities is key to the success of Spring Clean week and to tackling littering and environmental crime. It is heartening to see people taking time out of their busy lives to work with our employees and keep their communities clean, green and vibrant.
“I would like to thank everyone involved in spring clean week for their hard work and for ensuring that East Ayrshire is looking great for the local community and for visitors.
"I hope that even more people will come out on Saturday, April 16 for the litter picks at Kay Park and Woodroad Park, even just half an hour out of your day would make a big difference.”
