A new crossing on a busy Patchway road could improve safety according to South Gloucestershire Council Street Care Services team, which is asking for people's opinions on the proposed project.
The cycle and pedestrian crossing could be installed on Coniston Road. It would replace an out-of-date underpass.
A spokesman for South Gloucestershire Council Street Care Services team said: "Local children told us they are too scared to use the underpass and prefer to cross the road – so the proposal provides a safe solution. The railings are not fit for purpose and reinforcing parts of the underpass would be more expensive."
