Stray dog Honey was lost, reunited, rejected, rehomed TWICE and now she's back in rescue

She has been dubbed the unluckiest dog in rescue after being lost, reunited, rejected and rehomed TWICE before ending up back in rescue.

Now Honey, an English Bull Terrier is once again looking for a loving home as she enters her twilight years.

The team at the Rainbow Rehoming dog charity say she has found coming back into rescue tough and desperately needs a home.

A spokesperson said: "Honey was found as a stray and we traced her original owner via her microchip. She had been rehomed to her original owner's friend who then rehomed her to relatives.

"And now she is back in rescue patiently waiting for the right people who will love her forever. Whatever her past we are so glad that Honey found us because as you can see from her photos, she was not in the best of condition when we got her.

"Since her arrival Honey has got a much needed dental and an operation to remove a non cancerous lump. She has been enjoying her food and exercise and at 10 years old she is in need of a comfy sofa and lots of love.

"She is 10 years old and an absolute sweetheart. She is very easy to love and her polite, friendly nature is adorable. She loves spending time with our dog team and attention makes her very happy.

"She's an attention seeker and loves company but she's also a low maintenance dog who would like a comfy sofa ASAP.

"Honey likes to steal - or collect - dog toys and teddy's however they don't last too long, and she also enjoys playing with her ball and a good old game of fetch.

"In recent time Honey has come very picky with the dogs she spends time with but she adores Bob the Collie here at the Centre.

"Favourite thing is spending time with people. She needs an experienced home where she won't be left home alone a lot.

"We just hope the readers of DogsLive and Belfast Live will see the potential in this wonderful girl and the right family will offer her her final home where she can live out her years in love, peace, comfort and safety knowing she is wanted."

If you would like to offer a home to Honey, please email rainbowrehoming@gmail.com to request a dog application form, mention n HONEY in your email and allow two days for the charity to respond.
