A full moon lights up the sky every month, whenever the Moon is completely completely illuminated by the Sun's rays, occurring when the Earth is directly aligned between the Sun and the Moon.
In June, the full moon marks the start of warm summer weather and is called a Strawberry Moon, and sometimes as the Rose Moon or the Hot Moon.
The name Strawberry Moon is derived from the reddish, pink hues of this particular full moon.
It's also named this way because of a connection back to Native American times, where this time of year would usually be the beginning of strawberry picking season.
Here's everything you need to know about the Strawberry Moon including when it peaks in the UK.
When will the Strawberry Moon peak in the UK?
The Strawberry Moon makes its appearance every year during June, the same month of the summer solstice - June 21, the longest day of the year.
It is a supermoon, which happens three to four times a year, when the full moon is at its closest point to Earth.
This year astronomy lovers in the UK will be able to catch a glimpse of the supermoon as it peaks on Tuesday, June 14 around 12.51pm.

September: Harvest Moon
September's full moon is closest to the Autumn equinox and is referred to as the Harvest Moon.
It's named this way because it occurs during the month when most of the crops are harvested ahead of autumn, with the moon thought to have given farmers enough light to work in the fields longer in the evening.
It's also called the Barley Moon, the Full Corn Moon or Fruit Moon, and it will peak on September 10 this year.
October: Hunter's Moon
October's full moon is named Hunter's Moon as it came to signify the ideal for hunting game, which would have become fatter from eating fall grains.
It's also known as the Travel Moon and the Dying Grass Moon, and will peak this year on October 9.
November: Beaver Moon
Beavers typically start building their winter dams in November, which is why this month's full moon is named the Beaver Moon.
As winter frosts often start to show up during this month, this moon is called Frost Moon. This year it will peak on November 8.
December: Cold Moon
The final full moon of the year is called the Cold Moon, named this way after the long, dark winter nights we experience during the month of December.
