Stranger Things is one of the most watched shows on Netflix, with fans fans desperate to find out more about the final season of the hit show.
As the fifth season is so highly anticipated, information is kept under lock and key away from the prying eyes of viewers who are desperate to see how the stories of El, Mike, Will and their friends end.
The Stranger Things writers added fuel to the speculation fire with a cryptic tweet about the Evil Dead franchise, sparking fans to come up with some interesting theories about season five.

The Stranger Writers Twitter account shared a poster for the new Evil Dead film, Evil Dead Rise, and wrote: "We rarely promote new movies on here… But Evil Dead Rise and ST5 share something small but awesome in common…."
Fans immediately began speculating what on earth the writers could mean by this, with many assuming one popular character would be rising from the dead.
"So what you're saying is-," said one user who realised Evil Dead Rise is almost an anagram of "Eddie is alive" but missing an "i" and with a spare "r".
The return of Eddie Munson proved a popular theory with the fans, as his fate at the hands of demobats in the Upside Down has been cause for continued speculation. Another user simply circled the letters of Eddie's name in the film title and asked: "Yes or no".
Zombies in general were brought up by multiple users, one asked: "All the characters who died are coming back as 'zombies' yes."
The writers, famously fronted by the Duffer Brothers, did respond to this theory by simply saying: "No zombies." They then added: "Man some of y'all are so close. But no cigar."
Others thought the hint was more related to the fate of living characters than that of those who are no longer with us. An eagle eyed viewer pointed out that Jonathan Byers has an Evil Dead poster in his room, possibly meaning the writers have killed him off in the final season.
Along similar lines, fans said how the mother in Evil Dead Rise gets possessed and ultimately meets a grisly end - an unfortunate future that might be faced by Joyce Byers.
Some fans joked that it was all in the film's name, simply meaning that in season five of Stranger Things the evil Vecna and demogorgons, which they thought were dead, will once again rise.
One person begged the Stranger Things writers to reveal what the hint means but the replied: "Wish we could. We are probably one tweet away from getting a call from Netflix PR!!"
