Stranger Things bottomless brunch and Upside Down cocktail coming to Manchester this weekend

Stranger Things fans will be able to step into the Upside Down for a bottomless brunch themed around the hit Netflix series in Manchester this weekend. Diners can channel their inner Nancy, Steve and Eddie at Deansgate’s Rendition cocktail bar and kitchen on Saturday for unlimited cocktails with an 80s twist.

Rendition will turn into the town of Hawkins on July 30, and customers can enjoy an 80’s themed soundtrack, as well as delicious food, bottomless booze and a limited edition Stranger Things inspired cocktail, aptly named “The Upside Down”.

The special cocktail will be served literally upside down, and made up of Beefeater gin, dry vermouth, Monin grenadine, lemon juice, cranberry juice and elderflower syrup.

Guests will be able to choose from the new brunch menu, which includes classics such as homemade guac on toast, with red onion and coriander served on the bread of the day, 8oz rump steak and eggs, eggs Benedict, and eggs Florentine, all paired with bottomless booze.

Throughout the brunch, fans of the Netflix hit show can step into the world of Stranger Things with Joyce’s fairy lights on the walls, Jonathan's vinyl collection for the classic tracks and even the Hawkins high 80’s fashion on all members of staff, which customers can get involved in too.

There will be a select number of ‘golden tickets’ available for the bottomless brunch, which can be bagged when diners sign up to Rendition’s website. A golden ticket will see the price of the brunch slashed from £30 to £15 per person. Tables will need to be booked in advance to use the discount.

It’s already proven to be a popular event, with the restaurant extending bookings from 10am to 2pm, to 10pm to 4pm to give more people a chance to get involved. Those who book a table will get a 90 minute slot to enjoy their meal and as many cocktails as they can safely sink.

The cocktail bar and kitchen launched its b runch menu earlier this year, and will be open for bottomless brunch every Saturday from 10am.
