"Terrible shock for everyone involved. I thought she'd broken her ankle with the shoe coming off and the swelling, but am so thankful she's not more seriously hurt. Was a frightening experience for her and for everyone."

The girl's mum and aunty have since reached out to the woman who helped and said the young girl is "very very lucky" to not be more seriously hurt. Jade Louise Anderson said: "I can’t thank you enough for staying with my daughter and helping her she was so scared."

Her aunty, Joely Louise Higgins added: "Thank you for helping her and waiting with her, [it's] good someone like you was there with her and made sure someone got her mum luckily she only lived not far, she's at the hospital now like her foot looks so sore."
