Stranger 'may have saved woman's life' in McDonald's car park

A woman may have had her 'life saved' by a sharp-eyed mechanic in a McDonald's car park.

After buying a new car from a local garage, the woman visited McDonalds in St Helens town centre. This is where she was stopped by a stranger who waved down her car.

The stranger revealed himself to be a mechanic, warning that the woman's car only had one wheel nut on one of the wheels. This could have spelled disaster if left unnoticed.

The woman then called the garage that she had purchased the car from, who offered an apology and came to fit the other wheel nuts on the vehicle. The woman's sister took to Facebook to thank the kind stranger who had alerted her to the issue.

In a post she said: "Who ever the lad is that was in Maccies car park this morning. Thank you so much, he approached my little sister and let her know she only had one wheel nut on her tyre, and went to his car to see if he had spare nuts as he is a mechanic.

"She's now got all four on and the garage she bought the car from have apologised .You have literally saved her life."
