Most of us know that heart sinking feeling when you get home after a night out, put your hand in your pocket or bag and your phone is gone. Followed, of course, by a desperate scramble to find it, getting your friends to ring it, mentally retracing your steps. For those of us who are lucky enough, our phones will be found by a good samaritan and returned safely.
One TikTok user, who goes by @ paige.hook on the platform, was not only fortunate enough to have her lost phone picked up by a helpful stranger, but she also received a number of hilarious video messages from the man who found it - and people are losing it over how funny they are.
In the series of videos that the woman found, the man introduces himself as Myles, saying "Hello, I am the man that found your phone. Don’t worry, I will give it back, I will call your emergency contact. Don’t worry, your phone is in safe hands."
But following this, the video quickly descends into near chaos, with Myles and his friend jokingly quoting classic Liam Neeson flick, Taken, Myles balancing a bottle of juice on his head, showing off artwork in their house and discussing Ricky Gervais’ fashion choices. The video reaches a hilarious climax when Myles begins serenading his sandwich.
TikTok users found the viral video both hilarious and heart-warming and flocked to the comments to share their delight at Myles sense of humour. Comments included: "We need more people like him in the world," and “I hope someone does this if I ever lost my phone.”
One user simply wrote, "Legend", while many were also impressed by his singing voice: "The sandwich song at the end was brilliant".
Plus, many viewers are also claiming that Myles might have even caught a ghost on film. Referring to a moment in the last clip where he sings to his sandwich, the door appears to open on its own. One person said: "Anyone else notice the door open on its own?"
Another noticed the strange event and said "Can we please talk about how Myles has a ghost in his house?" while another joked: "Ayyy that sandwich must be so good that even the ghost wants a bite."
It is not yet clear whether the woman who posted the video has received her phone back yet or whether she retrieved the footage using iCloud - but we do know for sure that Myles will try his best to get the mobile back to its rightful owner.
