A family watched in horror as a stranger grabbed their cat Lily in his fist and hurled her across the road outside their house.
The shocking incident, which was caught on CCTV, happened at around 1pm on Tuesday, April 12 on Palmerston Drive in Litherland. In the distressing video, a man stops when he sees a black cat sitting on a wall behind a wheelie bin.
He then appears to reach over to pet the animal before clenching his fist to grab it. The cat flinches as the man picks it up and throws it across the street.

A member of Lily's family said: "My sister couldn’t stop crying after seeing the video and I think my parents were more shocked and angry. My sister's dad put a post on Facebook and people are absolutely outraged and disgusted."

Man hit by bus on busy city centre road
A man was hit by a bus on a city centre road.
Officers were called at around 9.30am today Wednesday, April 13, after they received a report of a crash on Great Homer Street in the city centre. It was a reported that a bus and a male pedestrian were involved in the crash.
The man suffered minor injuries, police said. Photos of the scene showed an ambulance. Traffic management system Inrix said Great Homer Street was partially blocked and there was slow traffic. It added the crash happened near the Sainsbury's.

Fans of BBC’s Killing Eve can see Jodie Comer’s iconic Villanelle costumes in Liverpool ONE from today.
Villanelle is known for her striking style choices and now Jodie Comer’s home city will play host to a collection of the original outfits for 10 days following the finale of season four earlier this week. The costumes are from across all four series and are exhibited over five shop windows on Lord Street in Liverpool ONE.
The outfits include Villanelle’s famous pink tulle dress from season one, the pig head and Bavarian dirndl costume from series two, the cheery but terrifying clown attire from series three and the “angelic” white dress in the final series.
