Galway residents were left baffled after they spotted some unusual activity in the Irish skies on Wednesday night.
Local people captured the rare sight of what appeared to be two 'fireballs' in a video of the phenomenon.
The footage shows two bright lights spotted in the dark clouds leading residents to speculate on just what it was, reports Galway Beo.

In one of the videos, a 'fireball' can be seen descending from the sky, while another video depicts two 'fireballs' side by side.
The event in which steam appears to be coming from the bright lights took place in Carnmore at around 8.45pm.
It comes as huge 'blood' storms will make their way across Ireland this week as a dust cloud from the Sahara spreads northwards, bringing with it the possibility of the rare weather event.
The phenomenon occurs when the dust from the desert mixes with rain, leading to the showers having a red appearance when they land.
The UK's Met Office is warning that parts of England could see red or orange rain over the coming days.
It comes as Ireland looks set to experience unsettled weather for the rest of the week after two days of thunderstorms in several counties.
More thunder is forecast for Wednesday afternoon and evening, with a mixture of showers and sunny spells expected for the days ahead.
Met Eireann says that a band of rain will extend from the west through Wednesday afternoon and will move eastwards across the country.
In Connacht, the weather will see showers spread across the region over the next couple of days with some sunny spells in store.

Mainly dry with sunny spells today, there'll be scattered showers in Connacht and Ulster.
Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees in fresh and gusty south to southwest winds, strong to near gale force at times along coasts.
Tonight
Thursday night will be mainly dry. Rain will develop in the west of the country and become widespread towards morning, heavy in places.
Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in moderate southwest winds.
Tomorrow
Rain on Friday morning will clear to scattered heavy showers and sunny spells in the afternoon.
Highest temperatures 13 to 16 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest to west winds.
