Stormzy sends Man United's Cristiano Ronaldo transfer message amid unlikely Chelsea U-turn

Music icon Stormzy has sent Cristiano Ronaldo and his doubters a clear message as Chelsea continue to look for a striker in the summer transfer window.

The Blues are red hot on the market for new attacking reinforcements as manager Thomas Tuchel looks to fix a faltering attack that has already lost Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner and could lose more in the form of Hakim Ziyech, Callum Hudson-Odoi and even Christian Pulisic. However, the latter's exit looks a lot more unlikely at this stage despite his Dad's frustrations as Man United, the club who have shown the most interest in a loan move to date, solely focus on Eredivise duo Antony and Cody Gakpo.

This large change in the frontline has allowed Raheem Sterling to enter the fray and it's safe to say that his £47.5million move from Man City has gone swimmingly well so far but he cannot do this on his own. Kai Havertz and others just haven't kicked on in the first three games, so no wonder the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Rafael Leao and Anthony Gordon are all hot on the agenda of new owner and interim Sporting Director Todd Boehly this summer.

However, say if the 33-year-old Barcelona striker was to stay put which is something looking increasingly unlikely by the day, then a move for Ronaldo cannot be ruled out.

It is understood that United would be open to selling the Portuguese if a suitable offer was to come in before September 1. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner was a substitute and watched on for most of the game as Erik ten Hag's side outbattled and outfought Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool at Old Trafford on the Monday Night Football.

Onlooking from the bench, maybe that's a sign of things to come for CR7 if he were not to secure a move away. football.london understands that his agent Jorge Mendes had offered Boehly the chance to sign the 37-year-old. One that was eventually swatted away by Tuchel.

Amid all this uncertainty, music icon Stormzy, who watched on to see his United pick up a huge win, sent Ronaldo a clear message which should silence any of his remaining doubters out there.

He told Sky Sports: "With Ronaldo, when you are that great, you cannot speak on him man.

"You have just got to let the man be great, do you know what I mean? As much as there has been a bit of a fuzz but he's a GOAT (greatest of all time)."
