STORMZY'S billboards in Glasgow have been vandalised due to his collaboration with McDonald's.
One Glasgow billboard was painted with the phrases “SELL OUT C***” and “Stop genocide” (below), whilst the most recent case was spotted in Gallowgate and read “GALLOWGATE says f*** Stormzy”.
This comes as the rapper comes under heavy backlash for his collaboration with the fast food chain.

McDonald's has been the focus of boycotts from Pro-Palestine campaigners after its Israeli branches handed out free meals to IDF forces and citizens following Hamas’s attack in October 2023.
Pro-Palestinian tweets made by the “Vossi Bop” rapper appear to have been deleted following his limited edition “The Stormzy Meal” collaboration with McDonald's and his advertising campaign with the chain.

Stormzy hit out at the “twisted narrative” that had came about on social media regarding his involvement with the brand, and reaffirmed his that his stance on Palestine had not changed.
The rapper continued: “I understand it must feel disappointing and disheartening when it seems like someone you’ve championed has compromised their beliefs for commercial gain but this isn’t the case here.
“Social media and the internet quickly pass judgment without full context. While I want to continue to be open and honest, I prefer not to respond immediately to every misunderstanding or clear up every false narrative that surrounds my name.”
Protests continue to ramp up against brands on boycott lists.
A recent decision by the Glasgow Film Theatre to remove Coca-Cola products for the duration of the Glasgow Film Festival due to workers demands was announced by Unite Hospitality yesterday.
