Storm Eunice: Will my bins be collected on Friday, February 17?

Wales is battening down the hatches as Storm Eunice approaches the UK - with a rare red weather warning issued for parts of the country.

Schools across the country are closing for the day and rail services are being suspended.

But a more mundane issue to be considered by households is whether those who are due to put their bins out for collection need to do so.

Anglesey: Residents should not leave out bins for collection.

Blaenau Gwent: Recycling collections are suspended and household waste recycling centres will be closed.

Bridgend: Recycling and waste collections will go ahead as normal, but the situation will be kept under constant review and residents are advised to keep an eye on the council’s social media channels for updates.

Caerphilly: Waste collections will be suspended on Friday, February 18.

Cardiff: All recycling and waste collections are suspended.

Carmarthenshire: No bin collections on Friday.

Ceredigion: No waste services and household waste sites will be closed.

Conwy: The authority has made no announcement on services but updates will be posted here.

Denbighshire: Rhyl Recycling Centre will be closed

Flintshire: Services suspended.

Gwynedd: The authority says it will 'make every effort to collect' waste and recycling, but residents are asked to leave bags out in a sheltered position.

Merthyr Tydfil: Notification of any changes to services will be made here.

Monmouthshire: Collections are cancelled on Friday.

Neath Port Talbot: All waste and recycling collections including commercial collections will now be collected on Saturday, February 19.

Newport: Waste and recycling collections are suspended.

Pembrokeshire: Waste and recycling collections are suspended.

Powys: Collections are planned but residents are advised to check for updates.

Rhondda Cynon Taf: Kerbside collections are suspended.

Swansea: Waste and recycling services are suspended.

Torfaen: Waste and recycling services are suspended.

Vale of Glamorgan: Waste collections are suspended on Friday.

Wrexham: Bin collections to go-ahead as normal.
