Storm Eunice: Are shops like Tesco, Lidl, Aldi, Dunnes, Supervalu closed or changing opening hours?

A red alert has been issued for Cork and Kerry on Friday as Storm Eunice brings dangerous winds, heavy rain and even snow.

Schools are closed, many will be working from home and Met Eireann are warning people to avoid leaving the house if at all possible.

As it stands, supermarkets across Ireland have not announced any closures or changes to their usual Friday schedules although this is subject to change.

Top chains like Lidl, Aldi, Tesco and others have previously shut for periods over red warnings and that could still be the case.

The worst of the storm is expected to be between midnight on Thursday and midday on Friday with the most damaging weather to hit.
