Storm Dudley prompts Rutherglen Glencairn call off amid fan safety concerns

Rutherglen Glencairn have rearranged their West of Scotland League Premier Division clash against Cumbernauld to later this month, amid safety concerns over Storm Dudley.

An amber weather warning for high winds has been issued by the Met Office for tomorrow night, when the game would have been played at the Hamish B. Allan Stadium, and it will now take place on Wednesday, February 23.

A social media post issued by the club read: "Our scheduled league match against Cumbernauld United on Wednesday night has been rearranged for Wednesday, February 23 to keep everyone safe due to the amber weather warning of Storm Dudley.

"We thank Cumbernauld and the WoSFL for their agreement to this."
