Storm Dudley: East Ayrshire residents told not to put out their recycling bins

East Ayrshire residents have been told not to put their recycling trolleys out for collection over the next few days.

The advice comes ahead of an amber weather warning that's set to kick in from tomorrow evening.

Storm Dudley is set to cause severe disruption when it arrives late on Wednesday night with adverse conditions expected to continue into Thursday.

East Ayrshire Council posted on Facebook: "Due to the predicted stormy weather and high winds, please don’t put your recycling trolley out for collection over the next few days - we will collect it the following week along with any excess recycling.

"We appreciate your patience and understanding."

North and South Ayrshire Council had not issued any advice regarding waste collections at the time of publication.
