Storm chaser Tanner Charles and his friend Orly Israel recently found themselves in a harrowing situation as they escaped from Israel's engulfed home during the Los Angeles wildfires. A video capturing their escape has since gone viral, showcasing the intense battle they faced against the raging flames.
In the video, Charles and Israel can be seen trying to flee the blazing home as the fire engulfs the backyard and surrounding streets. Israel expressed his disbelief at the intensity of the situation, stating, 'Every time I watch this video, I've got to watch myself running away from the battle of a lifetime. Every time this video plays is just crazy.'
With little time to spare, Israel recounted the urgency of their escape, noting, 'We're just trying to get out of there as fast as we can by then because that junk is bunk, dude.' The friends had initially attempted to fight off the fires but ultimately made the difficult decision to evacuate.

'We gave it our all, and also we stayed there way longer than anyone should have and still lost,' Israel shared. 'I feel like we fought a losing battle, but we fought it, and I'm glad we made it out alive.'
Reflecting on the experience, Charles expressed gratitude for being able to assist a friend in need during a natural disaster. 'Although it was a scary moment, I'm glad to be there at the right place and right time to help a friend in need during a natural disaster,' he said.
The dramatic video serves as a reminder of the bravery and resilience displayed by individuals facing the devastating impact of wildfires. Charles and Israel's escape highlights the importance of prioritizing safety and making swift decisions in the face of such emergencies.
