Political campaigner Steve Bray has called the new Welsh Secretary of State, David TC Davies, a "fart in a teacup" following a confrontation outside Parliament. On Wednesday, a video on Twitter saw a heated exchange between the two in Westminster.
This comes after the Welsh Conservative MP and former Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Wales was appointed to the role on Tuesday replacing Robert Buckland. He has been the MP for Monmouth since 2005.
In the video, Mr Bray, who is originally from Port Talbot and is known as "Stop Brexit Man", is seen approaching Mr Davies. He then greets him as the new Secretary of State for Wales, before asking "whose arse did you have to kiss for that?". In response, the Member of Parliament scolded the political campaigner for his use of bad language.
But Mr Bray continued with his questioning and asked: "What have you done to be Welsh Secretary, Mr Davies?". The politician then went on to accuse the campaigner of "harassing" other MPs, which Mr Bray denied. The exchange became further heated, with the two men eventually ending in a stand-off.
This isn't the first time the two have confronted one other. In March of this year, the Welsh MP was filmed in an irate public argument with the protester, who he called a "disgrace", a "nutcase" and told to "get a job".
Following their latest altercation, Mr Bray shared the video in a tweet with the caption: "The new Welsh Secretary David TC Davies being as nasty as usual. Who votes for these people."
In response to a follower's tweet about the exchange, Mr Bray claimed: "There’s a few times he squared up to me not on camera too. They call him the ‘Tory Tornado’ not sure why… just a fart in a tea cup!"
