Stunning Stobswell mural unveiled on three-storey wall

A stunning new mural has been unveiled on a three-storey wall in Stobswell.

The huge painting was designed by young artist Lauren Morsley in partnership with Open/Close Dundee

Lauren is an illustrator and printmaker who specialises in bold and colourful designs which create other worlds to explore.

She was chosen from dozens of entries to paint the huge wall on Craigie Street.

Her work is often inspired by intriguing stories, places, and people and alongside her commission work for various clients, she makes and sells her own prints and products, full of wiggly armed and long legged characters.

Lauren's mural is now part of a trail that takes the public around the sites of the Stobswell area, just a 10min walk from the city centre.

Taking in all the doors and walls takes about 90 minutes to get around on foot.

This trail includes the largest mural on a 20m gable end wall in Cardean Street, painted by Fraser Gray and Martin McGuinness.

Also in the area is the legal graffiti wall at Tayview Community Garden on Robertson Street.
