A spa nestled away in the Scottish Borders has been crowned the best luxury romantic destination spa in the world. Stobo Castle Health Spa was among the winners at the World Luxury Spa Awards 2022.
Stobo Castle is located at Stobo, approximately an hour's drive south of Edinburgh. Its remote placement makes it perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and spend some time relaxing.
The health spa offers luxury rooms, including the Cashmere Suite, which it describes as the "most opulent suite in the land". There is also a range of stunning twin, double, and single rooms, as well as separate lodges for larger parties.

While rooms vary in size and shape, they are all "rich and elegant with the perfect ambience to make one feel comfortable". Many of the rooms come with stunning countryside views to help put guests minds' at ease.

Meanwhile, the spa includes "an unrivalled range of health and beauty treatments", featuring "highly trained therapists" and "in-house spa experts". According to the Stobo Castle website, it offers the "very latest in spa trends and technology".
Treatments available include Essential Booster Facials, Full Body Massages, Hot Stone Massages, and Reflexology. There are also hand and foot treatments such as manicures and pedicures, as well as Marine Body Wraps, Aromatherapy, and more.
Among the attractions at the spa are its glass-fronted Swedish Sauna, 25m UV treated swimming pool, advanced 'Hydrospa', and dedicated Relaxation Suite. Meanwhile, ladies' facilities include a Laconium, a Crystal Steam Room, and an Aromatic Steam Room.
The World Luxury Spa Awards 2022 took place at Swandor Topkapi Palace in Turkey. Hundreds of spas across the world were nominated, with the winners chosen by guests, luxury travellers and industry experts.
