Stirling Albion’s players were sweating it out on Saturday as they took on a punishing double session in the heat as they prepare for the new season.
The Binos players were put through their paces by manager Darren Young and his staff as they prepare for a third-tier campaign and the upcoming Viaplay Cup fixtures.
New signings Dale Hilson and Lewis Milne were among the group facing the gruelling pre-season programme alongside the League Two winning heroes who made history at Forthbank last season.
The club’s pre-season plans were also added to with the announcement of a pre-season friendly – with Stirling set to visit Christie Gillies Park in Edinburgh on Tuesday, July 4, to test themselves against Lowland League side Civil Service Strollers.
That will act as the warm-up before the Binos take part in their Viaplay Cup group stage, beginning with the visit of Championship Ayr United to Forthbank on July 15 – before a midweek visit to rivals Alloa Athletic on the following Tuesday.
The final two dates for Binos fans to mark in their calendar for pre-season will be decided, with the SPFL fixture release set for June 30 and the draw for the first and second rounds of the SPFL Trust Trophy to take place on July 4.
