Beware a wounded animal – that’s the message from Stirling Albion boss Darren Young as he takes his side to Bonnyrigg Rose on Saturday.
The Midlothian side crashed to the bottom of League Two after suffering a 4-0 home defeat to fellow relegation battlers Albion Rovers last weekend.
But the warning signs are already there for Stirling from their previous visit to New Dundas Park in August, where they lost 1-0 to a Neil Martyniuk penalty.
Gaffer Young will hope to blood his trio of signings, with returning winger Kai Fotheringham joined by fresh faces Flynn Duffy and Greig Spence in the reckoning.
Meanwhile, Rose will be weakened by the departure of on-loan Raith Rovers winger Kieran Mitchell, who has returned to Kirkcaldy.
But the Binos gaffer insists his side will face a challenge.
Young said: “I would expect them to have a bounce back and have a reaction from the defeat at the weekend in front of their fans.
“We lost in the first game there earlier in the season, they got a penalty in that game and took it from there, so we will need to go there and make sure there are no slip ups from our side.”

The late postponement to their promotion clash against Dumbarton means Albion will have some rust to shake off from the kick-off at Bonnyrigg, but Young believes the increased competition in his squad can handle the pressure.
“We want to catch up that gap to the top, so we will worry about ourselves and our own performance because we know it will be a tough game”, Young added.
“There are no easy games in this league, so it is about going there and making sure we perform and with the strength in depth, we have players who can give us what we need.”
Meanwhile, striker Danny Burns has left Albion in pursuit of first-team football.
The forward joined the Binos from Shotts Bon Accord in the summer but has found playing time limited behind Dale Carrick and Robert Thomson this season and with the arrival of Greig Spence, both sides have agreed to a contract termination. Kick off at New Dundas Park is at 3pm.
