Stewartry’s mens and Sirens teams enjoyed a party evening at the clubhouse on Friday night when the trophies – that had been found – were presented by vice-president James Picken.
Captains John Picken and Claire Manson both gave a resume of the past season where both teams have finished in second place of their respective leagues. Stewartry won 15 of 18 games, scoring 683 points, while the Sirens won 10 of 12 games scoring 332 points.
Both captains are hoping for further improvement next season and pushing hard for promotion.
First up were the Stewartry men’s team awards.
Most improved player of the year (Kerr McCrae Memorial Trophy): Hugh Carson.
Top try scorer (Scott Carson Memorial Trophy): Stevie Hogg with 17. Players’ player: Archie Nicholson. Adam Gray Glasgow South Memorial Trophy: John Low.
