Steven Gerrard issued a simple two-word response after his former rival Wayne Rooney scooped the Player Career gong at the Globe Soccer awards on Thursday.
The ceremony, also known as the Dubai D'or, are football awards organised by the European Club Association (ECA) in conjunction with the European Association of Player's Agents (EFAA). The event was held in Dubai on November 17.
Wayne Rooney shot to the spotlight after joining the Everton youth team at the age of just nine. He made his professional debut for the Toffees at the age of 16, and spent two seasons at Everton before moving to Manchester United.

He is the record goalscorer for both Manchester United and the England national team, as well as holding the record for the most appearances of any outfield player.
Having played for both Everton and Manchester United, Rooney and Gerrard were longstanding rivals. However, it seems the Liverpool lads have put all that behind them now.
On Friday, Rooney shared the news of his award on Instagram. He said: "Thanks for a great night @globesoccer. Honour to win the career award."
Gerrard was quick to comment, simply saying: "Brilliant Wazza". Fellow former footballer Paul Scholes said: "Love it Wazza", while Antonio Valencia simply added a series of applause emojis.
