Steven Gerrard poses for pictures with known Kinahan cartel foot soldier on St Patrick’s Day

Pictures have emerged of Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard posing with a known Kinahan cartel foot soldier on St Patrick’s Day.

The former England midfielder also visited Conor McGregor’s Black Forge Inn in the capital where he posed for photographs with customers and staff. But more controversially on his Instagram, the Champions League winner was also pictured with Nathan “Biggie” Little, captioning it “All day lad”.

In the High Court, the Criminal Assets Bureau has identified the 24-year-old Dubliner as being a low-level member of the Byrne Organised Crime Group. It is understood that Little, who is from the Drimnagh area of the city, is a close friend of Liam Byrne’s son Lee, who has no involvement in crime and is the boyfriend of Gerrard’s daughter Lilly-Ella.

The former Liverpool great recently posted pictures of himself on a night out with Little along with Lee and Lilly-Ella and even wished the Kinahan foot soldier a happy birthday.

Earlier this month, a photo emerged of Liam Byrne’s son Lee enjoying a birthday bash with his pal Little and the Liverpudlian. It is unclear if Gerrard is aware of Little’s background and his connections to what is one of Europe’s biggest crime organisations.

Little appeared in several photographs with gang boss Liam Byrne who has been named in court as the leader of the Byrne Organised Crime Group, which is affiliated to the Kinahan drugs cartel.

Lilly-Ella, like Lee, has a massive following on Instagram, and is also a model and an “influencer”. Last year a video appeared on social media of the former Aston Villa manager with Lee’s gangster father.

In the video the former Liverpool captain is seen inviting a man to watch a match as Byrne is seen joking with the fan. Towards the end of the video Byrne offers to set up a dinner between the fan and Gerrard in his home.

Neither Lilly-Ella or Steven Gerrard have any involvement in organised crime and may not be aware of
Byrne’s connections with the Kinahan organisation. The 42-year-old popped into the UFC star’s pub on Friday evening, but the famous owner wasn’t around to celebrate St Patrick’s Day with him.

Conor McGregor, 34, spent the day with his family in Savannah, Georgia, which hosts one of the world’s biggest St Patrick’s Day parades. The former Liverpool favourite is out of work at the moment after being sacked as manager of Premier League side Aston Villa last October after less than a year in charge.
