Steven Gerrard had missiles hurled at him as he scored in a charity match against Celtic whilst celebrating in front of the his former rival supporters.
The former Rangers boss, who stopped Celtic from winning 10-in-a-row, captained the Liverpool legends team and there was a healthy support with club football on ice for the international break.
He started the game against a Parkhead team that included well-known players as Stiliyan Petrov, Robbie Keane, and Mikael Lustig took part, whilst playing alongside former team mates such as Charlie Adam and Steve McManaman.
Former Ibrox gaffer Gerrard and midfielder Adam weren't popular figures among the visiting fans and they were seen giving a bit back after they were booed standing over a free-kick. And just minutes later, Liverpool were awarded a penalty with Gerrard stepping up to convert it.
He then made a beeline for the away fans behind the goal and objects were seen being thrown onto the pitch from the away end.
Speaking after the goal the Liverpool TV commentary team joked: "In 17 seasons here at Liverpool this will probably be his favourite goal," as Gerrard raced to celebrate in front of the Celtic fans. Liverpool doubled their lead shortly after the half-time break.
